Wi-Fi issues are common with all network printers. Several factors might be causing issues with your printer if you are not able to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. To troubleshoot your Brother printer WiFi issues, keep reading the instructions given below.

 Brother Printer WiFi Issues

  • First, place your printer closer to the router to reduce Wi-Fi interference.
  • Verify that you have entered the correct network name (SSID) and password while configuring the wireless settings on the printer’s control panel.
  • If necessary, restart the printer and reconnect it to the wireless network.
  • In case you are connecting the router to the wireless network for the first time, you can use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) method.
  • Make sure to complete the WPS process within two minutes.
  • If the problem persists, open the default browser on your Windows computer and download the Network Connection Repair Tool from the official Brother site.
  • After completing the download, run the tool to fix the Brother printer Wi-Fi issues.
  • When the User Account Control prompts, click Yes to allow the tool to make changes to your computer.
  • Next, check the wireless connection status of your printer by printing the WLAN report.
  • Before starting, verify that your printer is turned on and the top cover has been closed.
  • On the printer’s control panel, press and hold down the Power button until the Ready LED lights up.
  • To print the WLAN report, press the Power button five times.
  • If the WLAN report states that the Connection is OK and still if you cannot print or scan wirelessly, check for any errors on the printer’s control panel.
  • Turn off your printer and wait for a few minutes.
  • Restart your printer and try printing again to check if you can print remotely from your computer.
  • If the problem remains unsolved, reset the printer network settings to factory defaults and reconfigure it to connect to the wireless network.
