- Take out the battery from the battery bay.
Step 3
- Remove the head screw that secures the optical drive.
- Move the optical drive out of the base enclosure.
Replacing The Optical Drive
Step 1
- Unpack a new optical drive.
Step 2
- Place the new optical drive in the optical drive bay.
- Wait until you see that the optical drive bezel has been flushed with the base enclosure’s side.
Step 3
- Insert the head screw to secure the optical drive.
Step 4
- Place the battery’s rear edge to the battery bay.
- After inserting it into the bay correctly, the battery release latch clicks.
Step 5
