  • Ensure that you have connected the Kyocera printer properly to the computer.
  • Ensure that you have connected them using a standard USB cable.
  • If you have connected them wirelessly, check the wireless network connection.
  • If necessary, restart your Wi-Fi router and printer.
  • On your Kyocera printer, select User tools from the control panel and configure the correct system and file transfer settings.
  • On your computer, open the Outlook app (if you have configured your email in the Outlook app).
  • Click the File tab and select Account Settings.
  • Click the Email tab and select your email from the displayed list.
  • Click the Change or Modify button and verify the incoming and outgoing server settings in the pop-up window.
  • Next, click the More Settings button and verify the configured settings in the Internet Server Settings window.
  • To test your server settings, click the Test Account Settings button.
  • Close the Outlook app after confirming your server settings.
  • Open the default browser and enter the printer’s network card’s IP address in the URL field.
  • Press the Enter button to access the Command Center (Kyocera). This action will help you to resolve Kyocera scan to email error 1106.
  • Click the Basic tab and select the Address and Contact links from the left-side panel.
  • Select your account and verify whether you have entered your email address correctly in the Email field.

  • Make sure that the SMTP Protocol is turned on.
  • Enter the correct SMTP port number and outgoing server name.
  • If you wish to set up an encrypted SMTP connection, enter 587 instead of 25 in the Port field.
  • Set up Authentication Protocols and Authentication based on the SMTP server requirements.
  • Click the Test button to verify the server settings.
  • Now, save the configured settings in the Command Center.
  • Go to the printer’s control panel and try sending a scanned copy to the recipient’s email address.
