  1. Take the printer out from the carton.
  2. Remove the packaging cover and then the plastic tapes from the printer.
  3. Link the printer to a power source using a power cord.
  4. Power on the printer and make changes to the settings.

Procedure to Setup HP Deskjet 2655 Printer

  • Take out the HP Deskjet printer 2655 printer from the cardboard. Place it on a flat surface. Clear all the packaging materials, tapes, and stickers on the control panel. Open the output tray. Hold the handles and open the ink cartridge access door. Remove the packing materials and tapes from inside the printer.
  • After removing all the packaging materials from the printer, take the power cord out. Join one end of the power cord at the back of the printer and then connect the other end to the power outlet. Deactivate the Sleep mode of the printer by pushing the power button.
  • Lower the output tray and then push the cartridge into the printer. Take the new ink cartridges from your printer. Remove the plastic tape on the cartridge. Be sure to touch only on the black plastic cover on the ink cartridge and not the copper contacts.
  • Place the cartridge on the slot and push it inside gently until it snaps into the slot. Install the color ink cartridge and black ink cartridge into the left and right slot respectively.
  • After fixing the ink cartridge into the correct slots, load a pile of paper into the input tray.
  • Raise the input tray and adjust the paper guides slowly. Load a paper stack into the tray. Let the paper guides rest on the corner of the paper. Drag the output tray extender and adjust the paper latch to start printing.
  • Wait until the printer aligns the ink cartridges and print an alignment page. Go with the instructions on the alignment page to install the cartridges properly, if the cartridges aren’t aligned properly. Set up a network connection on the wireless router and link your printer to the internet.
  • Connect your computer and printer to the same router. Look into the manufacturer’s site using an Internet browser. Search for the printer driver that suits your printer model. After downloading the driver, download and install the application on your computer. Print a test page to ascertain that the printer is HP Deskjet 2655 Setup properly.
