  • Open the Mail app from the Dock.
  • If you don’t find the Mail app, click the Go menu and select Applications.
  • Select the Mail app in the Applications folder.
  • Click the Mail menu next to the Apple icon on the top-left corner of the screen.
  • Select the Preferences option from the displayed list.
  • Click the Accounts tab and click on the “+” icon to add an email account.
  • If you have already added your account, select your email account on the left panel.
  • To add your email account, select the domain, and click Continue.
  • Enter your name, email address, and password in the appropriate fields. Then, click Create.
  • When the Incoming Mail Server Info window appears, enter the incoming mail server name if you know how to set up mail server on Mac os X.
  • If you choose to use IMAP, type imap.domain.com. Replace domain by entering the domain name of your email service provider.
  • In case you have selected POP in the Account Type, type incoming mail server address as pop.domain.com.
  • In the Username section, enter your email address.
  • Type the password of your account and click Next.
  • For an encrypted SSL connection, enter 993 as the port for IMAP. Type 995 as the port for a POP account.

  • Click on the Connect button to accept the certificate.
  • When the Outgoing Mail Server window appears, type the SMTP server address as smtp.domain.com.
  • Type your email address in the Username section.
  • Enter the password for the email account and click on the Create button.
  • For SSL connection, enter 587 or 465 in the Port number section.
  • Select the Authentication method as password. Then, click OK.
