  • You have to unpack the printer first.
  • Next, take out the printer supplies such as power cord, software installation disc, ink cartridges, and quick setup guide.
  • Remove the protective tapes and covers from the printer and make sure to recycle them.
  • Connect the supplied power cord and adapter to the rear port of the printer.
  • Connect the other end of the power cord into an electrical outlet and power up the printer.
  • Once the printer is powered on, set the language, region, date, and time using the printer’s control panel. Press the OK button.
  • Open the paper output tray and pull out the tray extender.
  • Raise the paper input tray.
  • Slide the paper width guides outwards and load a stack of legal plain paper into the paper input tray.
  • Adjust the paper-width guides and press the OK button on the printer’s control panel.
  • Next, open the ink access door and wait until the carriage moves to the center position.
  • Unpack the ink cartridges and install them into the printer after removing the protective seals.
  • Avoid touching the copper-colored parts to prevent poor print quality in the future.
  • The color ink cartridge should be installed on the left side slot, and the black ink cartridge should be on the right-side slot.
  • After the ink cartridge installation, press the OK button.
  • The alignment page will be printed automatically after 30 seconds.
  • Place the alignment page on the scanner glass and complete the alignment process.
  • Next, insert the software installation disc into the computer’s CD/DVD drive and run the driver installation.
  • Choose either Wired network, Wireless network, or USB as your connection type.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to execute the connection between the printer and the computer.
  • Once you have connected them, finish the driver installation process and verify the printer function.
