Procedure to Print on Both Sides of a Paper

  • Connect your HP printer to a stable power connection and make it active. Turn on your PC if it is not active already. Set up a router network connection and then link your printer and computer to the network. Look at the manufacturer site for the print driver file that suits your driver file. Locate and download the driver file to your computer.
  • Install the driver software on your computer. After setting up the print driver software, load an ample amount of paper into the main paper tray to avoid page ordering issues or paper feed issues.
  • Install the ink cartridges in their slots and inspect for full ink levels on the cartridges.
  • Open your file that you wish to print on both sides of the paper on your document viewer application. Click the File menu on the top menu bar and then select the Print option. Now, the general print job settings appear on the screen. Choose the printer name from which you are going to print.
  • After choosing your printer to print, click the Print Properties, Print Setup, or Preferences option based on what appears on your display. Now, the Document Properties opens on a new window.
  • Click the Printing Shortcut tab if available, and then click the Two-Sided Printing (Duplex) or Print on Both Sides option depending on what appears on your screen.
  • In case the Two-sided printing or Duplex printing or Print on Both Sides option is not available, click the Layout, Finishing, or Features tab based on what displays. Search from above tab names and locate Print on Both Sides or Two-sided printing drop-down menu or choice. If found, click the menu and select the Page Flip or Binding option.
  • If you are selecting a page flip option, choose flip on long edge or short edge option. After choosing your desired option, click OK and then edit all the other print-related settings. Click Save to confirm all the changes that you made and click Print.
  • If you have selected an automatic option, the printer might print on both sides automatically. If you have opted for the manual method, then reload the other side to be printed after the printing of the first page is done. Click Continue to print.
