How To Fix The Brother Mfc J835dw Printer Offline Issue?

Set the Brother Printer as the Default Printer

  • Remove other printers from your PC, then set your Brother printer as the default printer on your PC.
  • Click on the Start button on your computer -> Control panel -> Devices and Printer.

  • From the options, click on the Set as default printer option.
  • Restart your Brother printer and then check to see if the problem has been fixed.

  • At the top menu, select the Printer tab.
  • Uncheck the Use Printer Offline option.
  • Save the changes and exit.

Update the Printer Driver

  • Open your Windows Start menu, then select Device Manager.
  • From the list of options, find the print queue option and double-click on it.
  • The print queue will expand. You will see your printer among the expanded options so, right-click on it and select Update driver.
  • You will be given two options, choose Browse my computer for driver software. Click on Browse on the next screen.
  • Select the folder to which the driver will be stored and click OK.
  • And then select the Next option. Once the driver is updated, click Done.
